I have a misfire on cylinder five PO305 ohmed out spark plug wire 9.2 ohms
changed wire, still get misfire. changed plug still get misfire.
swapped wires for cyl 1 and cyl 5 check engine lite still on
check engine light goes off and on every few days. but engine still
runs a little rough if light is on or off.
does anyone know if coil for cylinder 1 and 5 are separate coils fired at the

Cylinders 2 and 5 are on the same coil. Had the same issue last year. Coil pack had a crack in it and misfire got worse when it was raining or high humidity. Had replaced the plugs first. Both cylinders 2 and 5 where worn pretty bad. How does your plugs look? Also replaced wires, cleaned injectors, and a few other items that didn't do anything. The coil packed fixed it.

I drive a Taurus now, but had a similar problem with a Chevy Cavalier about 2 years ago.
As stated previously by another, I also replaced coil packs and problem was solved. Cracked and wouldn't work right.
