So I got a new Ford Taurus recently, 2010, while on the highway last weekend I was passing another car and my car dropped into a passing gear for the extra power. Soon as it dropped into the passing gear I heard a pop noise and thought "That can't be good" moments later my drivers side exhaust was putting out so much smoke that it looked like a fog front moving in. I pulled over immediately and shut down and waiting 3 hours in my new car for a tow truck to come by and take my new car back to the city. They are telling me that the turbo had a failure in it and started blowing oil directly into the mixture. They've replaced the whole turbo component but at this point I can't help wondering what if any damage this little 'failure' could have for the long term. Besides the obvious of oil going through the injectors, oil in the cylinders can have issues as well... I don't know what to do I feel like I should get rid of the car under the honest fact that I don't trust it on the highway right now. More or less I'm here though to see if any have advice and/or if anyone has had a similar issue.
Thanks
